AT NEW LIFE CHURCH WE LOVE KIDS!

Kids matter at New Life! Church must be a place where children feel at home. Home is not only a place of comfort and security but also a place where lessons are learned that help children live out their daily lives. It is important that children feel included and very much a part of the larger family. The Church is God’s house…a "home away from home", where everyone is welcome…right down to the little child.

New Life is purposed to impact a generation of children. It is important for today’s kids to realize that life is not all about them. It is about God’s plan for this world and how they are and can be part of that larger, greater picture…even as a child. We realize that without God as the centre focus of life, this generation is without purpose and direction. It is our job as the church to assist parents in imparting Godly values, principles, character and compassion in the hearts of children today. Society seeks to influence and market to the child these days, through its television programming to music, media, advertising and even cell-phone ring tones! Because children matter, New Life seeks to structure its happenings so that children are welcome, are taught, are cared for and are encouraged to impact their world.

Psalm 78, verse 4 says it well…
“We’re not keeping this to ourselves,
we’re passing it along to the next generation –
God’s fame and fortune,
the marvelous things He has done.”

BG CLUBS
"B" stands for BOYS and "G" stands for GIRLS!
Every Wednesday at Family Night (7:00 to 8:30 pm) kids come together in both large group and small group environments. This club is a cool place to be where kids from ages 1 to 11 make friends, develop skills, learn Biblical truths and build Godly character in their lives. The purpose of BG Clubs is to help boys and girls experience Jesus personally as they:
• Learn God’s Word and Spiritual Concepts
• Develop Christian Character
• Are Involved in Ministry Opportunities
• Develop Skills and Achievements
• Participate in Wholesome Recreational and Relational Events
• Have opportunity to be involved in missions around the world
• Develop Leadership Qualities

Age break-outs are:
• Wee BGs - ages 1 and 2
• Seekers - ages 3 and 4
• Adventurers - ages 5 and 6
• Explorers - ages 7, 8 and 9
• Discoverers - ages 10 and 11

Club nights include badge work, gym nights, games, crafts, memory verses, great leaders and lots of fun! Kids can join any Wednesday night at 6:50 pm. See you there! (BG Clubs runs between September and May)

INFANT CARE
Care for newborns to toddlers (ages 0-2) is provided in New Life’s two morning services on a Sunday. Young children experience being in God’s house, surrounded by music, stories and play.

TRAINING IN TRUTH – SUNDAY SCHOOL
Small group classes allow children to learn the truth of God’s Word, systematically at their level of understanding. Sunday School takes place from 9:00 to 9:50 a.m. Sunday mornings in the Children’s and Youth Centre (for the months of June to August ’09). Classes are geared to 3-5 year olds, 6-8 year olds and 9-11 year olds. There are also classes for the rest of the family (Jr. High, Sr. High and Adults too), as well as Nursery Care for newborns to age 2.

In this weekly opportunity for children to grow in their faith and what they believe when it comes to spiritual things, your children will have opportunity to uncover and understand all that the Bible teaches, with discussions, drama, and interaction being key to their learning environment.

KIDS' CHURCHES
During our 2nd service on a Sunday morning, children are encouraged to be part of a Kids’ Church time just for them. Kids begin in worship with their family then proceed to learning environments that are age appropriate and fun-filled.
